Kids love to follow other kids - as in this very special Yoga Calm® class led by Haley and with music written and performed by another student, Rylie.
Through yoga, storytelling and beautiful footage of eagles in the wild, Flying Eagle creatively teaches children the qualities of the eagle - strength, focus and caring for their offspring. Great for home or classroom (ages 4 and up), the full DVD also includes focus and social skill activities with ADHD expert Dr. Jeff Sosne, a narrated science segment by Audubon naturalist Steve Engel and access to a free activity guide and music.

Yoga Calm has been a wonderful start and finish to our school day. Especially rewarding is when one of my students, who was very unsure of himself, has volunteered to lead the class in some of the poses. He has gone on to build confidence and self-esteem as a result. His family is amazed at his progress and he has gotten them involved in learning some yoga poses which as a family, they all practice together.

What a great idea - kids teaching other kids yoga - it is so good for them mentally and physically. I've seen increases in focus, balance, flexibility and most of all self-awareness and control from doing these kinds of simple yoga postures. I wish I had started as a kid. This should be a part of every parent and teacher's library of learning resources.
