It seems like A lot of people have smartphones now a days and the older generations seem to ask the younger generations how to control their simple feature phones. Asking for an IPhone without knowing how to use a simple(feature) phone would be a challenge don't you think?

@burnbleu True, but the touchscreen was only widely accepted when the ipod touch was introduced wich led to the acceptance of touchscreen controlled smartphones wich then started the whole touchscreen era. The mobile phone era didn't start with the first portable phone but started when every class and agegroup was able to aquire and use a portable phone. What I'm trying to say is that an era does'nt have to start with the first device but starts with the public's acceptance

you are clearly wrong.
We are heading for something truly great.
What if we are both wrong and right at the same time.

It is not technology that is moving people away from physical interaction it is out life styles. In other words working to long and only getting 2 to 3 hours a day with our families.
No wonder people are using the technology how the hell are you suppose to meet people when most people spend about 11 hours a day making ends meat.
