A video visit to one of Southern India's most amazing Hindu temples. Located just 25 km outside of Mysore, Nanjundeswari is one of the biggest and most famous temples in the region. The temple is associated with the Hindu diety Shiva. I visited the temple in April of 2008, one month before the monsoons arrived. The extremely hot and humid weather added to heat put off by the thousands of Indians crammed inside the temple. My feet almost blistered while walking barefoot through the parking lot to the temple.
