Mustang GTB vs GTA Muffler Comparison (V6 Mustang)

This is a comparison between the GTB and GTA mufflers on a 2008 Mustang V6 (4.0L engine). The first clip shows the GTB mufflers (aka bullitt mustang mufflers), and the second clip shows the GTA mufflers (stock on Shelby GT's). My setup on the car is the FRPP dual exhaust kit (x pipe crossover & black flanges), and a drop-in K&N air filter. Both sets of mufflers have approximately the same amount of miles on them (~9000 miles) so they are well broken in.

Observations:
GTA mufflers are LOUDER than GTB's.
GTB mufflers have a lower sound, GTB are more "throatier" sounding.
GTA (4 inch tips) vs GTB (3.5 inch tips)
GTA's are smaller in diameter and height than GTB mufflers.

Looking at the FRPP with the GTB for my '08 Pony Pakc. Do you get any drone with either the GTA or GTB mufflers?

@MonoPedB Good choice, great setup. Maybe a little bit of drone, but as my daily driver I don't even notice it.

@MonoPedB That's correct, although I had a heck of a time getting the GTA's centered inside the cutouts, but with enough time they fit fine.

Try the classifieds on MustangForums or AllFordMustangs, or sometimes they pop up on ebay! Or buy them new! :)

Gta's sound way better.....gives it a more signature sound...gtb's sound like every other exhaust for the six. Got violators on mine and good lord they roar
