Jewel went to Interlochen Center for the Arts in Michigan for high school. It cost $20,000 a year. Even with a scholarship, it would cost $16,000 a year. I highly doubt she was really homeless. Every musician has some kind of "story" in the business. Most of them are lies.

I was 13 at the time. Jim was like a mentor to me. I learned to sing and fingepick on the guitar from listening to him. I still go at it with Jim in mind.
