B. Alan Wallace comments on the universal message of the Pursuits of Understanding, Happiness and Virtue, from the Buddhist perspective. Explaining the interdependence of these three pursuits, he says that one cannot find the happiness that arises from within, without understanding one's own nature and place in the world. Likewise, one cannot find happiness and understanding without living virtuously.

  • thanks!

  • @lromeroyt It's not really complicated, but I can see that Alan Wallace may be hard to follow. He moves quickly through a number of related concepts and some people may have a hard time keeping up. I suggest using the pause button to stop and digest every sentence that come from Alan. It's the speed of his delivery that may be throwing you or someone else off. Keep at it. And by the way, his books are fantastic and fairly easy to understand. Be well.

  • Too complicated for a beginner...what a pitty...He seems to know...an encrypted knowledge

  • My reflection from what he is saying in this video is that certain ways of being or acting are more harmonious (to join together)with the deep reality of existence and will have a calming effect on the mind.

  • So precise and clear. One of the greatest teachers!

  • This sounds like a philosophy, not a religion. Am I right or wrong?

  • i selled my soul to de devil andnow im with a mental illness .. i need to talk to someone afp84@mail.com my email

  • Greco-Buddhism, sometimes spelt Graeco-Buddhism, refers to the cultural syncretism between Hellenistic culture and Buddhism, which developed between the 4th century BCE and the 5th century CE
