@raunchbear did you even watch the video? its pretty clear from the u.s. space command's own documents that national self defense isn't the main purpose of putting weapon's in space. protecting u.s. commercial interests is mentioned more than anything else

@jpowell180 thats a good point but your country is the biggest war mongers in the world your country cripples the world so it may prosper above all they why you have them after you thats why your country need this shit and this is an example of how your country wants to keep control over the world not protect your country

"Haves and Have-nots"
This is cynical calvinistic bull-shit. Typical for people born with a golden spoon in their assholes like Rumsfeld, Bush, and other criminals of this kind. The have-nots are have-nots, because of the ones who have: The thieves. Get the Haves "in line". Problem solved. Its much cheaper too. You dont need WMDs. Rifles would do it.

The only nation on this planet which has shot nuclear weapons towards people is the USA. So if the USA wants to protect itself, the best way to achieve this would be that the USA get rid of its own nuclear armament. The USA is its own greatest enemy.

so this is where my taxpayer money is going to

i think that if we start using space as a war zone, the aliens will just come in and get rid of us before we destroy space as well

Wherever human beings are, there will inevitably be war and crime; banning weapons in space is as idiotic as banning weapons in the sky, or banning them at sea.
Seriously, if somebody in the 1500s proposed to ban all weapons from the seas (battleships, cannon, even muskets, flintlocks, and swords carried by sailors), they would have been laughed at by intelligent people who understood reality.
Better that America have the upper hand in space than countries like China, Russia, and Iran.
