Homemade log splitter electric Two way

This is an Electric wood splitter that I made that splits on both strokes of the cylinder. The cylinder is a 2 1/2 x 24 inch made by Grizzly That I purchased from Tractor supply, The valve is a Prince two way detent that I purchased from Northern tools, The pump was an old one that we had laying around that needed a rebuild it is a 2.3 g.p.m. 220v pump, The Axle and rims were off of a 1991 Dodge Dynasty that when I was 16 I had going 117 mph once ha ha and the rest of the steel was scrap that was just laying around. ((((((the only thing that I can see that needs some re enforcing is the part I made that the wedge slides on but this was the first day I had it working)))))) I even made the wedge out of three plates of 3/8 steel welded together and beveled with the torch. And in the back ground you can see the anti theft device I use to store my 1970 mach One Mustang in the winter!!!

@horacekemp Hey The splitter is pretty quick and hasn't let me down yet but the duty cycle of the pump keeps me from running it for hrs on end, And yes I walk under the Mustangs. The car lift that I use is like a fork lift that picks them up from the side and I Put them on huge jack stands until I want to get them down. It makes them a heck of alot harder to steal too
