8233 & 34027 Taw Valley double-heading on the Severn Valley Railway on 23rd September 1989. The pair are seen at dusk departing from Highley northwards, then accelerating away from Sterns and starting the ascent of Eardington Bank. This was the Saturday evening of the 1989 Autumn steam gala weekend.
I really miss 48773. And I'm really looking forward to seeing 34027 back!

I agree! This has become one of my personal favourites. I love the sound of the 8F at first when accelerating away from Sterns, then Taw Valley takes over and dominates completely! I wish I hadn't cut it short at the end as I remember it was possible to hear the pair all the way to the summit of Eardington Bank :-)
