June 11th, 2011. A baby bird fell out of a nest in our backyard, and was placed back into the nest. However, placing the bird back seemed to deter the parents from returning. I witnessed the parents attempt to return for a few hours after dad put the bird back, seeing them start to fly up, only to stop about a foot from the nest then fly away. After a few hours, they stopped returning at all. On June 12th, 2011, my mom and I became so upset with seeing the babies that remained hanging out of the nest, with mouths wide, and nearly pushing each other out of the nest again for food, slowly starting to starve, that we took matters into our own hands. I found a website that gave tips on how to raise the birds, and what to feed them, so we started feeding them that night. June 13th, today, when I came home from work, we took the birdhouse down that the nest was in, and rescued the remaining birds that were alive. This video is the result of the rescue.
