A super smiley (and solo) Vanessa Hudgens shows off a new set of bangs as she goes on a shopping spree in rainy New York City on Wednesday afternoon.

The 19-year-old High School Musical star started off in the West Village at Scoop boutique, then took a short walk to nearby Jeffrey.

After jumping into a taxi, she stopped off at Cartier in midtown to look for some new jewels. Vanessa picked up items from both Scoop and Cartier.

wow.. everyone is getting theire bangs cut "blunt" now... about 4 months ago i did mine like that, and now every person at school and every celebrity has their bangs like that.

That's not true. Blunts don't look good on round heads and square heads. Because of their thickness, blunts make round heads even rounder and the straight cut of it make a square face even more square.

They can work on heart shaped face, but heart shaped have big foreheads and sometimes it doesn't look good, sometimes it does. It's a 50/50.

So in the end, blunts only look good 100% of the time on oval faces and people that look older than their age.

I honestly don't agree. At school I only know about three or four girls with blunt bangs (excepting myself).

I still think sideswept are the most popular. 85% of the girls I know have sideswept. x_X

@striktlymusik ahahaha, same, but i think it's because they look good with a lot of face shapes and hairstyles, but whatever, now everyone has long bangs again (after I grew mine out) and i want to cut mine back to blunt, because, I'm getting really tired of my sideswept :)
