first of all the name JW is just a title. The beliefs are what is important. Jesus is very important but Jehovah his father is the almighty and to him is to who your suppose to serve. Jesus said that to Satan in Matthew 4:1-11, and i'm saying it to you. Jesus himself was a witness as it says in REV 1: 5. Isaiah 43: 10-12 says you are witnesses says Jehovah. some bibles say Lord, some say Yahweh either way its still GOD not Jesus.

@silkyhands914- You are missing the point. The Hebrew scriptures mentions being a witness of Jehovah, yet Jesus in the Christian scriptures says we are to be HIS witnesses. Wouldn't that be considered new light?

As been said before:

MAINLY we are the witnesses of Jehovah our God, God is the most important person in the galaxy. He stands far above Jesus. Therefore we are called Jehovah's Witnesses instead of Jesus' Witnesses, which would mean we put Jesus above Jehovah.

This doesnt means we arent witnesses of Jesus also. We try to follow Jesus in every step also.

But again: Its just about who is the most important: Jehovah or Jesus.

By being a witness for Jehovah, you are being a witness for Jesus Christ. They're on the same team, remember?

God says over and again in the bible he wants a people for His name. Jesus is His son, but he is not God on high. Jesus sits next to his Father in heaven. ALL should approach the Father in prayer, as Matthew 6:9,10 Jesus said. Everyone should offer their prayers THROUGH Jesus-Phillipians 2:10. He is the mediator between God and men.Acts 15:14 says Jehovah God wants to take out of the nations a people for his name.
