Otherkin VS Insanity & Escapism

While I cannot speak for the rest of the OK community, I can honestly say that I believe myself to be perfectly sane, as I am able to function normally in society, and I am a realist and not an escapist, because I love my life, and have no reason to want to create a fantasy world to "get away" from it. I believe what I do because it is what I have experienced, and it is simply what I believe. I do not believe it to try to escape this world, because I love this world, and while there are some corrupt people, I think it's beautiful and wonderful.

I hope I can spread awareness of SANE otherkin, and I hope to expand others' minds and show that not all otherkin are "insane and/or escapists".

normality, as scientific facts, work as yesterday weirdnesses are today's normalities. Every "normal" persons thought that Earth was flat till someone "weird" been able to proove that Earth is round. We sharing many values and things. To me, you are perfectly sane and normal :)

@NeoDarkArckan But, they are humans. You are human, Kanishtaa is human; we are all human. Anything that deviates from normal is unrecognizable from a human perspective. Don't consider yourself better than them, even if you have a different soul, you still have a human bady.

Yay for being crazy!!! :P Anyway, a few points, I believe I have an elven soul, which simply means I believe that I was once (or maybe a few times) a humanoid that lived a long time ago with slightly pointier ears, and a deep connection to nature, and that's not so far-fetched compared to other more common belief systems of today. For example, most people believe that we have a soul, and that it leaves our body and goes to another plain of existance after our body dies.

i have no problem with people believeing anything. its when they use their beliefs (especialy 'faith' based beliefs) to force others to act a certain way that i have a problem with.

in other words, if what you believe doesn't affect anyone else, then im all for it.
