  • @TheSatanas666 I think that Sonny Boy II is labeled as a “city or electric blues” artist, and the earliest musicians are the “country, delta or acoustic blues” artists (usually only with one or two instruments). I think categorizing in general is useful to organize a large body of material (such as the work of blues artists) but should be considered only as a reference. I agree with you. I love equally the fantastic music of both Sonny Boys. In my personal “organizer” SB2 is an early legend!

  • @TruckTurner74 cool. i also couldnt help that this version is different from the one i have on my iPod. That one starts out "Down south when you do anything thats wrong (x3) They'll sure put you down on the county farm."

  • @515742617000027 that would be because this arrangement was Son's tribute to the then recently deceased Blind Lemon

  • @RagtimeDorianHenry I saw this comment of yours and subscribed immediately, when I saw you had 2367 videos I thought this is going to be a Swell of a day, I had being listening to Irish budget discussion and couldn't take any more so I Youtubed "Mississippi Delta Blues" and pray hesto, jackpot!!

  • anyone else notice that the melody is quite similar to See That My Grave Is Kept Clean by Blind Lemon Jefferson? cool song by the way

  • @OldBluesAndDubMusic Charley Patton might be Kid Bailey with Willie Brown backing on guitar

  • @RagtimeDorianHenry why theres no mention of sonny boy 2? on the early artists, he was older than sonny 1 and spend more time in missisippi to

  • @OldBluesAndDubMusic yes,but i think that Charley Patton is singing

  • dont evryone agree that this song sounds alot like blind wille johnsons nobody fault but mine?
