For those of you who are un-aware I was in Paris for Spring Break this year. My I just take that note to add it is a beautiful city! I loved it there, I'd live there but I don't speak French.
The trip itself:
Pre-trip: We started planning years before the event and got plane tickets about 6 months before our flight so that was pretty cool.
Getting there: We left school early (me and my sister) and got home ordered a pizza and had lunch. We said goodbye to Mom, Dad, and Sammy. (For the record we went with our grandparents) We drove to JFK and got on a plane to Amsterdam (connected flight) We left the airport at about 5:00 I think. (We taxied for like an hour.) On the plane I watched the Yes Man! which was really boring and awful. I read my book (The Book Thief) slept for a while. Woke up and watched the Express than landed. Got in trouble for Amsterdam thanks to my iPod headphones and got searched. Got on another plane and fly for an hour to Charles de Gaue Airport! Landed at about 9:00
Day 1- Jet Lag sucks... slept for about 4 hours. Went to look around a bit but didn't go far. Went to go dinner. Had French Pizza which is amazing! Had dinner at like 5:00
Day 2 - Went on a tour of the whole city!
Day 3 - Took a train to Montmare, climbed up the hill and had a wonderful view of the city.
Day 4 - We went to the Lourve Museum and saw the Mona Lisa (which sucks) and some really huge and awesome paintings. Went on a bus and spent the rest of the day by the Arc de Triomphe (on the Champ Ellyses)
Day 5 - EASTER! We went to the Palace of Versailles, waited for 3 hours and didn't even get to explore the Gardens but did get some pics of them. Ironically when we got back into Paris the second we got out of the Metro station the bells of Notre Dame start going off like nuts cause it's Easter!
Day 6 - Went inside Notre Dame and got to climb to the top! Which was cool!
Day 7 - Sarah's B-Day! We hit the D'Orsay and met our cousin Simone who lives in Paris. We saw the Saint Chapelle which we don't have any good pictures of cuz you can't take them! We went to a fancy restraunt where the waitors were really cool! They danced... I laughed!
Day 8 - Got up really early and got in a taxi and headed for home!
Where'd we stay?
We stayed in an apartment right by bell listening distance of the Notre Dame!
You spelt Sacre Coeur and the louvre wrong, in fact it's actually le louvre! shame on you yetta! tsk tsk tsk.... well I guess i can't blame you because I'm like the only person that takes french...
and literally like half of this slideshow, i can only think of golle.
