@Kidcapro not really hes actually the pawn that lasted long but he never got to be queen
-
this scene ties right into the death of bodie. Another reason on y this show is so dope. Bodie was a pawn and didnt move out and cud only shoot diagonal, while chris and snoop were bishops, they were moving diagonal. o-dogg was a horse and he did that horse L move to cap bodie. look up the bodie death scene for a better explanation. sorry for the spoiler to all the ppl that didnt see that episode

Checkers FTW

@LSDude Making mountains out of molehills..

Bodie has no interest in winning, he just wants to know what happens if he survives the game (makes it to the other end). Unfortunately it didn't quite turn out that way.

D'angelo was a great man, absolutely a great man. A fuckin shame that they killed him, I spent crying the whole funeral scene.

I wish he would have refered to the knights like they were Weebay.
-
what about the knights and the bishops?
I agree with Applemask.
EVERYONE LISTEN UP.
This is the greatest scene of anything ever spawned in the history of existence. One cannot die and except to rest in peace having missed this scene.
This scene is not about chess, or drugs, or kings. It's about the universe and everything it encompasses. Every philosophical problem, every quark of everything, and every theory, is in some way explained in this very scene.
This is EPIC.

There's a reason chess is called the game of kings and was required learning for royalty back when they had actual power. David Simon is a genius.
