  • Gary, nice video man. I'm planning to upgrade from Office 2003 to 2007. Is this the same method in doing the outlook back-up? uninstall 2003 and install the new 2007, What's the best process. Thanks again.

  • Thanks alot! I'm getting ready to reformat & I needed to back-up. I have tech support w Dell until 2011, but they said it didn't cover software issuse. But, the guy said "I could help you for free but it'll take a long time", he said he would be "happy" to help me, but I'd need to pay $295...HE MUST HAVE BEEN HIGH! Using your video, it took like 10 mins....I'll be able to use this file when I reinstall Outlook right? Whats the difference between "data file management" & "archive"?

  • Very nice video and understanding. On my website I have email section were you can retrieve any POP 3 emails. So if you have comcast and at&t, others you can look it up anytime. Just go to my profile to see.

  • MSG ME ON MSN MESSENGR !!! ID IS jane24belle. im bored and need someone 2 talk 2 t

  • "Save it or back it up..." How? Is it just a matter of copying the Outlook.pst file into the same folder of a new installation?

In my folder I have a number of files: ~last~sharing.xml.obi, extend.dat, Outlook.sharing.xml.obi, Outlook.xml.kfl and ~Outlook.pst.tmp. What are these? As usual, the Microsoft Help files are completely useless and confusing.

  • This has frustrated me for a while, but its so simple. Thanks for the tutorial.
