From April, 24 to May, 8 the Chinese part of Vitas World Tour 2009 Sleepless Night took place in 9 cities of China with great success.
Vitas as a singer and songwriter has been known on Russian stage since 2000 and released here 9 CDs which, according to the official sales, more than once have taken top positions among the best-selling albums in Russia.
Today Vitas is an artist who has gained popularity outside of Russia as well. This fact is confirmed by his unprecedented tours across the South-Asian region that were held in 2007, 2008 and 2009. His performances took place in the most prestigious and greatest halls.
Vitas took part in the official cultural program of Beijing Olympics. On February 2009 Vitas became the only invited artist who performed at the Opening Ceremony of the 24th World Winter Universiade in Harbin, China. This performance was watched in 86 countries. In April, 2009 Vitas participated in the shooting of film "Mulan" as a guest star.
