In "Medicating Kids," FRONTLINE examines the dramatic increase in the prescription of behavior-modifying drugs for children. Are these medications really necessary--and safe--for young children, or merely a harried nation's quick fix for annoying, yet age-appropriate, behavior?

Unless you HAVE been on medication or have had to DEAL with someone being on medication I feel it cruel to make judgement calls on them. My parents were NOT useless. The school was NOT at fault. Kids go through SO MUCH now with law changes and other things, media, etc. For those who pass judgment on the "sick" children in question you are not god.

My son's school is trying to claim he has a disorder...he's only FIVE & has only been in school for 2 mo. he's an average kid but they're nit picking his every move......as the mom I think I'M the one who needs therapy, they're driving me nuts.

The only thing wrong with poor Alex is his useless parents. An only child, cuz his mom is a fat skank now, she coddles him and now he is a fat fatty after years of Twinkies and video games. So now Alex has to endure the cruelty of his classmates. No wonder he's depressed. Hey parents, how about raising your kids right instead of the nanny-state and pumping drugs into them!!!!
