Lee Strobel makes a compelling argument for the Resurrection, it's eyewitnesses, and how the church grew among these eyewitnesses (i.e. 3,000 got saved when Peter preached about the resurrection that just happened a few weeks ago in that same town of Jerusalem).

Thor promised to rid the earth of ice giants and Jesus promised to rid the earth of evil. I still see evil on earth but I see no ice giants on earth.

HOW DO U DEAL WITH THAT IN YOUR WORLD.....SUCH A LONELY WORLD? TO IMAGINETHERE IS NO CREATOR IS NOT A PLAUSIBLE THEORY. SUCH THEORIES ARE MAN MADE BC IT IS AN EASY ESCAPE TO IGNORE GOD AND LIVE LIFE BY YOUR OWN MORAL COMPASS WITH NOONE TO ANSWER TO BUT YOURSELF. GUESS WHAT THAT IS A LIE THAT YOU HAVE BOUGHT INTO AND YOUR NOT ALONE. BUT THERE IS HOPE FOR THOSE WHO DO PUT THEIR FAITH IN GOD. FAITH IS KEY TO A RELATIONSHIP WITH OUR CREATOR. HE OPERATES IN THE SPIRIT.

May I ask you where you got the martyrdom references? Most of them are oral traditions or from the Gnostic Gospels, which the Early Church considered heresy. None of them are contemporary to Jesus nor are they even biblical accounts.

Early Christians were killed on false charges, not for refusing to reject the Resurrection. Most of them didn't even stand a chance, even if they decided to recant Christianity altogether.

Most of the 12 Apostles were martyred... And you can nitpick and say they broke a law or were seen as a threat or whatever but its pretty easy to deduce that if they they only were willing to break the law because they truly believed they had seen the risen Jesus... Its pretty unlikely that a group of 12 (and likely a lot more unrecorded) are going to decide to invent the resurrection and then run around proclaiming it, threatening people, and breaking laws only to be wanted & killed.

Which Christian martyrs are you talking about, to begin with? The only mentions in the NT are Stephen (covert, not witness) and Apostle James (which does not say he was killed for believing in the "physical" Jesus). Most coverts were killed because the established order saw them as a threat, or because they refused to follow certain laws.

There is a difference between people dying for something they believe to be true and dying for something they know to be false. Correct me if I am wrong, but Christianity is the only religion who has this type of martyr. The only person in Islam, for example who knew the truth with 100% certainty was Muhammad himself. Heck, he could have been hallucinating in the cave. But all of the Muslim martyrs never had the opportunity to know with 100% certainty the truth, as many early Christians did.
