i am thinking of selling the prop at raw finish stage for $135. plus shipping.
Hawt made from a 8foot prop and an axial flux permenent magnets alternator mounted on vawt.
3 phase, RPM vs WATT Bench test

  • If you want to get rid of the whistle round of the tips and add one more blade.Just have 2 blades causes a vortex at the end of the blade. So 3 works great. If you are have a over voltage problem i beleive i have solved that problem.I will post it on my channel when i complete it.

  • @maguyver1969, ok, what you suggest make sense, however the prop is one peace of wood, so i need to make a 4 bladed insted and insert them together at the mid point.

    looking forward for you update

  • Scary it was, i think the tips sound is a normal result.

  • Looks like a sweet prop. Blocky section on blade tips probably making the whistling noise. Curious why you left the tip trailing edge blocked, for strength?

  • @thrundar, for no reason i left the tips on. or maybe i figured that most aircraft have winglet to help improve wing performance, so why not leave them there!. i am not sure if they are helping, i do not have the eqiupments to test that theory.

    regards
