Cards for Soldiers http://www.facebook.com/cardsforsoldiers 365 days a year. You can send a card to a soldier stationed anywhere in the world for just $2.99 postage included.

Holiday Mail for Heroes 2010 - (http://www.redcross.org/holidaymail) sponsored by the American Red Cross and Pitney Bowes delivers thousands of handwritten greeting cards to the military and their families each year. They work within a small window of time, so, in order to make sure that the cards are delivered on time, they won't accept cards that are post marked after December 10th. Rather than delivering them late, they will return the cards to you. Which I think is rather unfortunate and sad. The Holiday Mail for Heroes program runs for 5 weeks.

What about the other 47 weeks of the year, and all the other holidays, birthdays, and other celebrations and times to just say 'thank you to our troops'?

Now there's an easy and convenient way to send a card to soldiers for any occasion. You can do it right now online at http://holidaymailforheroes.net/! The soldier will receive a real greeting card - not a cheesy eCard. A real card with pictures that you've taken of the family and friends printed on the card. Then, the card will be stuffed, addressed, stamped, and mailed. It will be delivered with the rest of the military mail.

I think it's the best system for sending thank you cards, birthday cards, or holiday cards any time of the year for any holiday, or just to say I'm thinking of you. It only costs $2.99 - postage included. You get to pick from over 15,000 high quality greeting cards and even upload your own digital pictures that will be printed on the card. Very cool. Try it now. Send a card to a soldier for $2.99. You'll need their APO/FPO (Air/Army Post Office or Fleet Post Office) address with the nine-digit ZIP Code™.

The Department of Defense has issued the following guidelines for addressing your mail to military and civilian personnel deployed overseas.

Use the service member's full name. The Department of Defense cancelled the Any Service Member program so mail must be addressed to someone specific.
Include the unit and APO/FPO (Air/Army Post Office or Fleet Post Office) address with the nine-digit ZIP Code™.
