The last minute of this song fucking rocks!

The structure is scarily similar of Common People. As I wrote that Jarvis said "Common People" wtf? OK maybe I'm just missing the joke.

For a minute I considered reading the lyrics.
Then I thought "nah".
So much for that small rebellion.

Just heard this band today on the Documentary Erasing David... Had to use an app on my phone to figure out what it was. These guys are amazing... Don't get exposed to many bands from the UK here in the US unless they become Internationally famous. I'm sure I'm missing out on a lot of sick bands though.

“Well I mean taking drugs doesn’t help, that never helps in the situation, you don’t often hear people say; oooh since he’s been taking them drugs he’s such a nice person, he’s really come out of his shell, he’s really nice, he’s blossomed”---Jarvis Cocker..... LOl hilarious man

a bit like are you a hypnotist, flaming lips

So did this version appear on any album? As a b-side on a single maybe? A burglar nipped all my CDs from the 90s a few years back, I can't remember if I had this on anything.

This version ('Proper') first surfaced on the deluxe reissue of This Is Hardcore released in 2006, while the original Cocaine Socialism was tacked onto the A Little Soul single back in 1998.
