It's me again, the QPR fan, and I hope your boys stuff that lot from Stamford Bridge who still can't get over going out of the Champions' League to Barcelona. The ref was crap, but for both sides, and they only had to hold on for about two more minutes!

Would have to have Joe Royle and Johnny Morrissey in my team. Morrissey very underrated, but an Everton legend. A great winger, and Royle a great centre forward.

You really struggled to beat us that day (I listened to the commentary on Radio 2). Not that I minded seeing a fine team like you had then winning the title. I also felt very sorry that you didn't get into the European Cup because of Heysel (it affected us too).
We of course have had our happy days at Goodison too, like when Les Ferdinand got a hat trick in a 5-3 win!
Even as a QPR fan, I know what a player Alex Young was. I also know he's your club's all time hero. Must have been a largely internet based poll, the same sort that saw Man U fans vote for Cantona ahead of George Best.
By the way, I remember the time the Loftus Road crowd gave Neville Southall a sympathetic ovation after he was wrongly sent off.

Your right, it was a poll on (I believe) the official website. I remember (as a young boy!!!) the 84-85 season playing QPR at goodison, over 50,000 crammed into the old ground to see us raise the old first division trophy at the end of the game. We won 2-0 with Dereck Mountfield and the unbelieveably fantastic Graeme Sharp getting the goals. That was some season, We beat Bayern Munich that year to at Goodison on the way to lifting the cup winners cup.

Nope, you are as wide of the mark as a Phil Neville cross,Alex Young? Howard Kendall? Colin Harvey? T.G.Jones? The list goes on and on,you lost all credibility with your question when you picked Gary Stevens..............

I put this vid on in response to our own supporters vote at the start of the 2003-04 season to commemorate our 125th Anniversary, I agree with you mate, and this is exactly what i'm after, a debate, hence the question mark after the title. cheers.
