first of all all the chinese martial arts came from india specially the art of kalari it looks exactly the same, it was brought there by bohidharma and the chinese got there ass kicked by everyone the mongolions invaded china with only 40,000 soldiers and they killed all the chinese warriors and raped all the women and even burned down there cities and when the mongoloians tried invading japan with 140,000 men against only 40,000 samurai the samurai kicked there asses.

@ravisdb You are missing the great fact of the attempted Mongol invasion of Japan: the kami kaze - the divine wind or big storm that destroyed countless Mongol ships. It had nothing to do with the Samurai...and sorry friend, Bodhidharma noticed the practices of Taiji and incorporated it into the great Shao-lin tradition. You just tell Bruce Lee that the Japanese are the best at martial arts, or tell his teacher Ip Man, he demolished a Japanese officer in hand-to-hand.

Hey you forgot the many aspects of kung-fu,for example the two thowsand years of history, the fact that pakua shang have many techniques similar to aikido, the spiritual dimension based in taoism and budism, like aikido does,

is not fair your "comparative perspective"

finally Im an aikido practitioner for 10 years now, but still think kung-fu is superior, sad as it is no comparation to tai-chi man, you need more information.

They all derive from the influence of Tai chi. Prove me wrong and I will retract, but come on, how many Theravada or Vajrayana fighting monks have you seen? Did the Buddha preach any thing like that? It is all Chinese, indigenous, brilliant. Of course I believe Buddhism makes everything better, so I agree that kung fu is superior. This is my student's project, mostly accurate.

The ninja are the real winners don't you think? No politically, but in fact of physical ability?

The reason Japanese arts arent accreditated is because Japanese arts are all a rip off of Chinese. Karate cames from china, ninjutsu was orignally created by a chinese, jiu jutsu came from Qin Na, judo is basically chinese wreslting. Half of aikidos beliefs are Chinese anyway. I love Ninjutsu, Aikido and Kung Fu. But i didnt see any comparison here, just you saying how you think Aikido is better.

@maccatheguitarist, every martial art comes from some other area of the world. Most japanese MA's can trace their lineage to China, but they are in no way a rip-off. Jiu Jitsu is a more complete MA than Qin Na and Shuai Jiao (chinese wrestling). Qin Na isn't even taught alone, it's taught as part of the curriculum of other Wushu styles. Also, judo, aikido branched off of JJ. So saying that judo comes from Shuai Jiao is incorrect.

@ravisdb what a stupid historical noob asshole, kongfu just a wrong illusion that western think. Kongfu's official name is Wushu. Wushu is literally translated as the martial art. Learn history firstly asshole before you give off your shits. and Mongols was defeated by China since 15 century. and they have to live in the desert for ever.

@TheYoshiForce I was reffering to ninjutsu as how it is commonly referred to which is as a self defense style. They call it 'Snow Tiger' and it does sound childish and ridiculous indeed but it doesn't in it's actual language. And yes I understand that no style is better than the other. Perhaps if I've posted something ridiculous before, it was when I was less wise and younger. I have learned much since I've posted that comment.
