I got into the NHL via NHL98 on the playstation, i liked Calgary on that cos my local team is the Flames (in UK),for some reason i liked Rico Fata on that game (or maybe a later one) then i heard about this fella Mario, so i started to follow the 'guins, then Fata joined and that was that! lol. The rest, as they say; is history...and we are good now!

ya but the Penguins play in this city called Pittsburgh which is located in the U.S.A.
So I think it is a fair question to ask how he got started watching the Penguins, as they would not be on regular TV broadcast over there.
and yes they have hockey but England is certainly not well known for it
