J'ai Besoin d'Amour (Ten/Rose)

Okay. Before anyone goes any further, let me mention the most important thing about this video...
....it's in FRENCH.

Yeah.

I know for a fact that there is a French Doctor Who, I looked it up and I found a clip :)

Alright. I was bored the other day and I thought it would be rather interesting for me to make a video in French. It was possibly the most difficult thing I have ever done.

And before anyone says anything, I want to point out how hard I had to work to translate and then find clips that matched up...they're not just random clips, they're as close as I could get without tearing my hair out.

I'm not going to pretend to be fluent in the language, since I most certainly am not. I'm still learning (French III, thank you very much :D) and in order to decipher and match up the lyrics and clips I have to admit the online translator helped a -tiny- bit.

I found that a lot of it I could actually understand once I read the lyrics though...and that made me feel rather intelligent ;)

Also. The subtitles on the clips with audio were courtesy of my former French teacher, who we've decided to just call Madame ;)
But she's awesome and I'm really greatful that she checked my awful French sentances and is currently keeping me from looking like the idiot who tries to speak French even though they don't know a single word ;)(which isn't exactly me...I mean, I'm in my third year, I know a bit of it by now)

The clips with dialogue that don't have subtitles sort of defy translation because of their sheer glaring Englishness. They're just like...anti-French. *shrugs*


The song is by Lori and is a bit too bubbly for the depressing blob that is the Doctor/Rose relationship....but it's pretty catchy and I couldn't resist ;)

^^ I'm really actually hoping for some French comments, so hopefully one of my 800 or so subscribers speaks the language and makes me feel like an idiot when I can't translate it because it's too advanced and I have to whip out my dictionary :DDDD

Alright. Well. I haven't got a lot of time, so I'm not going to bother to sound clever in French, as it's just not a strong point for me.

But what I wanted to say was thank you very much (that much I can handle fairly well "Merci beaucoup") and that you had a great idea (bonne idee) with the phone, and for some idea beyond my knowledge I honestly didn't think of that.

Good work! I know what it is to work so hard in something that is not you language. And don't worry, le francais est parfois difficil, moi je suis au niveau 7 /8 et il est encore difficil. Godd luck with that! :)
