Paddy Dargan here. God be good to Jimmy. I remember playing with him many times. Most memorable was when he fell off a straw bale on stage whilst playing - he just carried on as if nothing had happened! Professionalism!

Hi to all. Paddy Dargan here. John, I'm still playing and hope you are too. It would be great to make contact again - after all you did share our unfurnished house in those days!! I'm on Facebook and my email is: p_dargan@hotmail.com Get in touch! PS have you still got the Suzuki? Great to find this clip!

He was back in Oct/Nov last year and missed the Cookstown sessions by one night!
He remembers Mario's 21st very well! he said he got a lift from the Torrent bar in a mini van with greyhounds in the back haha

John Wilsons son here.
Dad was thrilled to bits to see this!
Hopefully there is more footage of when he sang on the show.
He remembers Jimmy used to pick him up in an old Jag from Loughry Collage to go to session around the place.
He also says to Gemma Hasson (Who was in the same show)
"I'll have to get that Joan Baez record back to you"
He still has it!

Wow. The wee guy on the banjo looks promising. I wonder how good he might be in, say, 35 years time....?

Noel, John Wilson the gutarist in this clip, now resident in Australia, was chuffed to see it so that he could show his kids how handsome he was when he was young :-) He recorded twice for "As I Roved Out". I don't suppose you have any more of this material?

I was only starting Traditional music then, between 18 - 20 Yrs of age .
I can remember the wee thing
he had on the end of his little finger, clearly even to this Day --
Jim Mcauley...
When I first met Jimmy Comac In Crosskey's Pub session Co, Antrim many years ago I was just Blow-en away, great lift to his music and he had a Universe of tunes... And young Cathal Hayden look just like this when I first met him, sitting playing on a wall in Resarkin, at the Co, Antrim Fleadh - Very Happy Memories -
