Kansai PJ's FLV # 80

In this video, I talk to some 10th graders (一年生) at the private high school where I work in Osaka, Japan. Some of whom you have met before, and some new to the vblog. Just a quick chat with some people who make me proud to be their teacher...

Special thanks to: Yuto, Arisa, Sahar, Sho, Honami, and Rika. Thanks to you guys for allowing me to put this clip up. I am glad you guys are in my life...

Thanks also to Yoshia and 'The Musique' for allowing me to use one of their songs in this video. The song "Heineken Wave" is an original song by THE MUSIQUE and used here with their permission. For more info on this great band, go to:

  • About how many schools in Japan are like this? I'm planning on studying abroad, once I get into college, but I've heard that everyone's always studying or working, and that they never have very much fun. Granted that's from vlogs of people that whent to top schools, but what would be my chances of going to a university there, which people would be having fun too? Instead of only doing work.

  • @xSRGDarknessx This was a private alternative "free" school. Most senior high schools are not like this at all. However, you are talking about going to uni here, which, depending on the school, can be quite relaxed. Many students work hard to get into uni, but once there, again depending on the program, spend more time partying and socializing in 'circles' then they do studying. No matter where you end up, you will have opportunities to socialize. No worries.

  • @TheTrunksdbz Hate to spoil your dream, but in Japan, the average age of 12th graders is the same is in the US. I have been teaching in Japan for more then 15 years, and the average age of students completing senior high is 18 too.
