Well, Ive rented from Budget. This is about a simple thing that the person behind the counter said to me. If it says debit on your card then its a debit card. Its linked to your bank account. And I'm sure its got to do with security purposes. If you use your debit card you can take the car, close your account and disappear with the vehicle. Credit card companies, in the other hand, wont let you close your account if you have any pending transactions. Simple, get a credit card and pay with debit.
