Nothing Else Matters ~ Ch. 29

First off, wanna thank ButterflyxDream for mentioning me in her series. So sweet of you. Second, I wanna thank JessLovesJB19 for my background. I LOVE IT! Haha. And I'm reading Sphere by Michael Crichton. FAVORITE BOOK EVER! I love it so much.

(Kevin's POV)
I sat down on the bleachers and watched Rebecca teach Jenna how to skate. Rebecca was gentle with her, patient as well. She acted like a mother. I smiled and stared at her. Why did she have to be so perfect? My thoughts were interrupted by Doris speaking up.

Doris: You really care for her, don't you?
Kevin: Huh?
Doris: You care for Rebecca, right?
Kevin: Yeah. She means a lot to me.
Doris: Is she finally your girlfriend?
Kevin: (smiles) Yeah, she is.
Doris: You two are meant for each other.
Kevin: You think so?
Doris: I really do. The way you look at each other and smile and laugh... it's amazing.
Kevin: I still can't believe I found someone like her. She's way too good for me.
Doris: Oh, but you're a very nice young man, a true gentleman. That's why you two make such a great match.
Kevin: I guess we do.

I looked out at Rebecca and leaned forward. Out of nowhere, she tripped and fell. I immediately stood up, ready to help her. But she quickly got back up and continued skating alongside Jenna. I sat back down and sighed.

Doris: You love her, don't you?
Kevin: What?!
Doris: I can tell, dear. I see it in your eyes. What you feel for her is more than just a crush. It's love.

I thought about her words. Did I love Rebecca? I knew I really, really liked her but love? I was a bit confused and unsure. Even if I did love her... did she love ME? My head was spinning with thoughts of love. After a while, Rebecca and Jenna came up to us.

Rebecca: She's a bit tired. Says she wants to leave.
Doris: Honey, are you sure you want to leave?
Jenna: (nods) Can we go home Grandma?
Doris: Of course. (turns to Kevin) Well, it's been a pleasure meeting you. Can I have a quick word with you in private?
Kevin: Sure.

We walked away a little bit and Doris turned to me.

Doris: Son, can you do me a favor?
Kevin: Um, yeah. Okay.
Doris: Treat her right. She deserves it. Rebecca is one-of-a-kind. Do not lose her. You will never find a girl like her anywhere else. I want you to take care of her. Make her happy. Fight for her. Don't just stand there while someone tries to steal her. She deserves the best... and that's you. Good-bye.

Doris grabbed Jenna's hand and walked out. I stood there in shock. Her words were still trying to process in my brain. Rebecca walked over and touched my shoulder. "Kevin, is everything alright?" I nodded, saying, "Yeah. Just fine."

We walked out and got in the truck. I started driving to the college and let my thoughts wander. DID I really love Rebecca? At a stoplight, I looked at her. Maybe I did. I kept driving and the silence dragged on until Rebecca broke it.

Rebecca: So what were you and Doris talking about?
Kevin: Just... stuff.
Rebecca: Oh.
Kevin: Did you have a good time tonight?
Rebecca: I did. Thank you.
Kevin: No problem. Maybe we can go out again soon. I love spending time with you.
Rebecca: Same here.

We arrived at the college and we walked in. I grabbed Rebecca's hand and we went up the stairs. We got to her dorm and she let go to get her keys out.

Kevin: How about this Friday night?
Rebecca: (smiles) Sounds great. Where are we going? Wait, let me guess. Another surprise.
Kevin: You got that right. Goodnight.

I leaned in and gently kissed her. I pulled away and melted as I saw her rosy cheeks. So adorable. I walked away and headed to my room. I smiled, thinking of Rebecca. I think I AM in love with her.

So we're playing badminton in rec sports and I really really suck. I can't serve for crap. Haha. But yeah.

Question of the day:
For the Twilight fans, Team Edward, Team Jacob, or neither?

Personally, I'm on neither. I hate them both. No offense to the people that love one of them but they both kinda piss me off.

Oh and yesterday, we were watching Romeo & Juliet and we were at the scene where Romeo is crying because he thinks Juliet is dead and guess what I did? I burst out laughing. I just thought it was hilarious. Bye.

Oh My Gosh, I aboslutely love Michael Crichton, when I first read Jurassic Park I was so amazed, it was the greatest book I think I read in my entire life, but I have to go to the bookstore to get this Sphere book! Oh and by the way loved the chapter so goo, Doris should seriously have her own show about relationships she's really good at making people fall in love! Oh and TEAM JACOB all the Way! LOL!

Michael Crichton is freakin amazing. I've read 9 of his books. My two all time favorites: Sphere and Timeline. Amazing. :D

@grovychic2 Really Michael CHrichton is the greatest Novelist. I was also amased by the jurassic park. it is a fabulous mixture of facts and fiction. i immediately baught all his novels after that.

Well if your unabout the old one, we watched that not to long ago, and my friends obsessed with Zac Efron, and i was like ''He SOOO Looks like Zac!'' and she was like ''Yeah he kinda does... But Zac's SOOOO Much more attractive'' and then get this i get home, type in 'leonard whiting' as that was his name, and guess what he looks like, he looks like a FRIGIN PEDO. haha. lol
