One of the most memorable movies from 1985 without a doubt. Excellent performance from Jon Voight. I take it that this is supposed to be on the Fairbanks to Seward railroad. If only the line had a 'Y' fork south of Fairbanks, continued through Tanacross, Alaska, crossing the Canadian border into Yukon Territory rejoining at Whitehorse and from Teslin,continue to either Hazelton or Fort Nelson, or why not both in British Columbia. But you would be sure to run out of gas before Tampa, Florida lol.
