    La técnica de Konchalovsky para cerrar esta historia, es admirable. Las últimas imágenes donde se mezcla sabiamente la música, el sacrificio, casi ritual, de Manny y los rostros de sus antiguos compañeros de prisión, que parecen observar curiosamente la autoaniquilación de manny, esas postreras imágenes son conmovedoramente dolorosas.
