@fk1386 You're right, that's not a good sign. That's a sign that more and more people are succumbing to the need for fast information fed to them through the media. To think that all those people bought tickets and hadn't even looked up what they were going to see, and then were rude enough to pull out their cellphones and tune out. honestly, this is a cultural art form that if not understood by the common audience should at least be appreciated. Especially if they're are going to pay to see it!

This clip doesn't do justice to what is otherwise a terrific Butoh show. Sankei Juku's dance interpretations touch the soul. They're haunting, fantastical and rich in primordial emotion. I saw them at Sadler's Wells in 2008 and came away a big fan of theirs....

Lol I was at the London show too. I walked out after 45 minutes, feeling scarred! I'm all for interpretative dance, but it took them hours to just move a finger! Seriously dull, I was at the very back and could see loads of ppl on their mobiles - not a good sign!

the whole of this show is really sensational, these 2 excerpts do not do it justice, it is an amazing experience belive me! I saw their latest piece TOKI (time) in London and stupidly refrained from joining parts of the audience walking out so poor it was, don't bother!
