Balloons at the Basin 2009 on One News

With a perfect windless evening, 20 balloons took part in the first Balloon Nightglow event held in Wellington at the famous Basin Reserve, travelling down as part of the Lift Off Levin held at Easter in 2009. It was a magic, almost windless night in Welly - a rare thing indeed, so One News turned up for a live link no less, having been down earlier in the afternoon to film an introductory piece, when the lack of wind allowed a few to inflate. Would have been perfect coverage for a major sponsor if we'd had one. Planning is underway for the event at the Basin again in 2010.
