Bamberger Park - San Antonio

This is a trail head park, its small but has some decent trails that I would suggest anyone who is new to hiking or Mountain biking to try this park to get used to the sensations. For those of you that are a little more seasoned, this is a great starting place to go down the Leon Valley river to OP Schnabel all the way to Bandera bridge.

i been to park when i was in 11th grade doing lake clean up...i fell in love w that lake and park..i have seen people fish, play and hike...now they have tat area w nice parking and entrance. i dont own a bike but i really love to bike or walk through those area...only certain of my special people that i have taken have seen the lake...thanks..for showing me around the actual park..

didn't knew the park's name was Bamberger..thought they changed the name it as leon creek greenway..

@Princessjisna And the best part is that they expanded it even more to the Wilderness Area on the back area.  I suggest a nice walk and see the new area when you have the time.
