I see no fault in Jasons actions when he left the band that LEFT HIM! As Jason stated himself...he needed to stand up for himself and stand up for his principles which were entirely different from the rest of the band who decided to take a break to play house instead of playing music! This may not sound like Metallica but, should it merely because Jason plays bass?? He's one part of a band so you cannot honestly blame him for how the entire band sounds. Besides, he's FREE from James' control
