Southeastern South Dakota BBQ Teams Compete in Huron's Championship Event. The Boneyard Wannabees and the Charcoal Loungers of Vermillion were short on experience but had enough will power to brave the rain, wind and temperatures in the 40's to finish well in the final tallies of the judges.
The Charcoal Loungers took the reserve Championship. The rookie team the Boneyard Wannabees entered the event to help promote the Ribs Rods & Rock'n Roll State BBQ Championship and took third in Chicken. For more info on Ribs & Rods- South Dakota State BBQ event go to www.sdbbqchampionship.com
An old school BBQ demonstration was presented by Jody Harnois. He fired up an old BBQ pit and cooked over corn cobs as is done only in South Dakota. Cool stuff and a nice event!
Huron was a great event hosted by our Friends Bush Fullerton and Scotty D. (Nice work guys!)
