Die Airpocket Methode:

Meine Lieblingsflaketechnik. Man nimmt die Flakescheiben wie gewohnt und knickt diese. Nur nimmt man soviel auf einmal, dass die Tabakkammer fast voll wird. Auch das ist Erfahrungssache und wird Ihnen nach wenigen Versuchen in Fleisch und Blut übergegangen sein. Sie müssen nur darauf achten, dass im unteren Teil der Rauchkammer eine kleine Luftblase bleibt. Sie werden erstaunt sein, wie fest Sie den Flake in die Pfeife drücken können - der Zug wird immer genau richtig sein, wenn der untere Teil freibleibt. Die wichtigste Erkenntnis aus meinen zahlreichen Stopfexperimenten: man kann ruhig fester stopfen, aber nur ein bis höchstens zwei Teilmengen Tabak. Die alte Schichtmethode scheint mir endgültig überholt zu sein.

I got my first tin of Mac Baren Navy Flake in Germany. Had that same warning label. I'm gonna try that method.

Ich nutze diese Methode in vereinfachter/abgewandelter Art. Vor dem Stopfen führe ich einen Pfeifenreiniger in die Brennkammer ein und stopfe die Pfeife. Danach entferne ich den Reiniger, setze die Pfeife zusammen und rauche. Die Luftblase ist dann zwar nicht so ausgeprägt, jedoch ist sie definitv vorhanden und erleichtert das Rauchen wirklich ungemein.
