This is my first attempt at removing some scratches in the bumper of an Audi A4.
The products used were: PC7424 - XMT Pad Prep Spray - Lake Country White Pad - & - Menzerna 85RD Compound.
As you can see from the end result, the scratches were not completely removed. I will have to try again with some different variables (Compounds, Pads, & maybe wet sanding)
Sorry about the quality, this is my first video post and my first time using these products.
I would welcome constructive comments and tips from anyone who has had success with these products.

  • Seriously... Wet sand or maybe even dry sand. No body-detailer would try to buff out deep scratches like that. Make sure you learn how to do those things first. And make sure you know how to test the paint a clear as well.

  • i duno if you tried this or anyone commented as i cant be arsed reading it, get yourself a lambswool pad, use on very slow setting and do a few passes, ill guarantee it will have gone!

  • @djspock5150 *also same as the other guys stated you need a cutting pad (orange) and a cutting compound like M105 then follow up with a less aggressive cutting pad with M205 or the like. Then use your PC with a white pad and polish out the left over M105, M205 should like pretty nice after that. But you really really will have to work it Audi' clear coat is a bitch

  • Audi clear coat is one of the hardest clear coats out there but you prob know that now.

  • hi, your using the wrong menz product use power finish and a medium cutting pad try orange hex logic , this combination works very well then use a final finish. the other comment is correct higher speed more pressure needed to.

  • What frito said. Or try using the LC Purple wool pad with some M105 if its a deep one. After that go over it with LC orange and M105 to remo the the marring the purple pad left. Then finally finish off with a LC black pad and the 85rd you already have.

  • What Frito said. You could also try Menzerna P106FA (nano).

  • PO85RD is a finishing polish (not a compound). It's meant to be used after swirls and scratches have been removed for maximum gloss. Try some Meguiars M105 or Menzerna Super Intensive Polish on an Orange LC pad. Also, bump the speed up to 6, use more pressure and make slow, overlapping passes. Good luck!
