Baby can't relax enough to just float. The point of isr is to teach babies to float and keep themselves from exhausting or panicking. If the baby is expected to grab the wall asap instead of floating, she could wind up panicking. Most kids aren't found in the first 15 minutes. Timing should be longer in the floating phase, up to 30 mins or longer or its pointless. Brain damage comes in3 min, death in 4.
