@Angelinasmonkey Err. nope. The 'c' in Italian is never pronounced as 's' or 'sh'. If the 'c' is before 'e' or 'i' then it is pronounced 'ch'. With any other vowel it would be pronounced with a hard sound 'k' like in cat. So in this case, it would be pronounced 'Pan-Cheta'

@qhack I know you are right!!! and believe me that was my Sunday best talk, I'm as country as they come... but when the food is cooked nobody is talking when there mouth is full...... thanks for dropping by and leaving such great information... :)
