The Road to Valhalla is a five part video series that covers all aspects of pre-production for the Seattle Opera Ring. Each installment, released weekly starting in July, features artists or production and technical staff discussing what they are preparing over the summer. Episodes cover rehearsals, costumes, sets, props, special effects, and the orchestra/ chorus.

  • I saw Greer Grimsley as a perfect Mephistopheles in Faust last night in San Diego. Richard Paul Fink sang Nabucco in San Diego last season. Incredibly, he learned the role in just three weeks after Zeljiko Lucic cancelled...a Hurculean feat.

  • Really interesting to see the rehearsal process. I'm flying in from London, specifically to see the Second Cycle. Looking forward to the rest of this video series. Thanks for doing it.
