More reliable and intelligent software

From www.athenaweb.org : We need better software to solve existing life threatening problems due to software errors or to be able to provide more efficient services in todays changing conditions.
This is the aim of the European software project called PROMISE. Our future is depending on innovative computer technology. The PROMISE project team is creating software that will analyse component performance. More than twenty partners from universities, technology providers and industrial organisations are participating in PROMISE. This combined collective intelligence has created NESSI, software that can realise the vision of compatible Personalized information.
The European project Amigo aims to make different devices interoperable and to let them function in one network. All these collaborations to create software is proving to be very succesfull both in terms of economical competitiveness as in creating more efficient, compatible and life saving software.
