  • AMAZING VID.YOU ALL LOOK WELL COOL :-)

  • They hold onto the padeye to prevent being blown over by the jet exhaust a few feet away. They don't leave until the launch because if something goes wrong with the catapult they will be needed to safely move the plane away.

  • man i love this job

  • Do you guys have competitions against other carriers performing drills???

  • @wilz1122 Props to you. But, again, what did I get wrong, in your opinion?

  • @Poinographer compared to my 8 year U.S. Naval F-14 and F-18 experience? As well as me having my FAA A & P certificate? Pretty sure i got you covered!

  • @wilz1122 Whatever. Is 5 years of USMC F/A-18 service enough for you? What did I write that you would disagree with, anyway?

  • @Poinographer spoken like a true non Naval Aviation man!

  • Wow, when they stand up they're blown back by the jet wash - truly awesome!

  • @courtneybliss21 Looks like this is the British system for carrier launch. Kinda neat.

  • oh snaps! im a final checker for hornets, and ive never seen that! usually its the yellow shirts who do all the dancing and stuff. we just try to get the hell outta there because we always miss chow!
