Terence Robertson singing Live at The Palm House Liverpool, Northwest Opera Singer, Tenor Terence Robertson was born in Southport where he started his vocal training. He studied at Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester, The Royal Scottish Academy of Music, Glasgow and in Italy with the legendary tenor, Maestro Carlo Bergonzi.
He won First Prize at Rennes International Singing Competition. The televised Final led to performances of Gounod's Faust throughout France and began Terence's career as a soloist.
He has performed Italian and French opera throughout Europe, including the roles of Pinkerton, Manrico and Canio in Paris and Ghent, and Cavaradossi, Calaf, Riccardo, Samson in the U.K., where he has sung with Opera North, Scottish Opera and English National Opera. He recently made his debut with Welsh National Opera in the role of Otello.
His concert performances have taken him to some of Europe's most prestigious venues including L'Eglise de La Madeleine in Paris, Chateau de Verseilles, Gran Teatre del Licieu, Barcelona, Queen Elizabeth Hall, London, Bridgewater Hall, Manchester and Linbury Theatre, Covent Garden.
He has sung for French State occasions and in Gala Concerts in France, Belgium, Germany, Strasbourg Festival. Monte Carlo and the Middle East.
He has worked in the French film industry and for Radio France, Radio Piccardie and Radio 3
Based on Merseyside, Terence regularly returns to Europe to perform opera and concerts.
