  • lou reed is great but he brings nothing to this song imelda does it 100% better solo sorry to lou fans and of course just my opinion

  • @CyrilSnype nope you're wrong. This duet works fine and Lou Reed has never been rubbish, mind you (I wonder why I react on this crap comment?).

  • @louisjnr I agree completely about the respect and the Solo. My thoughts also.

  • Must throw in my tuppence worth.

While both are fantastic musicians, but I'm not sure if Lou Reid adds anything to this particular song. I'm not knocking or discrediting Lou Reid , I'm quite a fan, but Imelda May worth this song for her husband, so personally I prefer the solo version!

  • @0v3rd0seh Imelda is good but Lou Reed brings something to the song that noone else could.I love it.

  • Nice duet, but Imelda singing it on her own sounds 100x better imho.

  • lou reid is such an amazing contrast , his deep and rasping voice and the memory of all those epic songs , omg your pale blue eyes, epic, then there is the sweetness of imelda mays voice , the combination of the beauty and softness of the feminine voice versus the strength and depth of the male voice, it really brings out the essence of the song.

  • I do not know of this guy's work I was merely commenting on this particular collaboration of Imelda's and I still say she has done herself no favours in this duet
