You are witnessing the titanic clash that happens when white nerd-ness meets deep funk. It's like a car wreck -- you don't want to see it but you can't turn away.

James Brown was the man lol....His dance moves were pretty smooth

When this came out I was 12 and going to Our Lady of the Holy Souls in North Philly. We ate cheese steak sandwiches from Pat's and had our annual block picnic at Parvin State Park in New Jersey. There was no gambling in Atlantic City, in fact my family and I went there regularly to sit on the beach and walk the board walk. What I remember most of the era is that we all, blacks, whites, etc. pretty much listened to the same popular music so the teenage movies of the time were what was happening.

@helo86 I'm a massive Elvis fan but Elvis didn't write any of his songs, Parker got Elvis' name on the credits to make him more money. That said, Elvis was the greatest entertainer the world has ever seen. Jackie Wilson and James Brown have even stated this and Elvis couldn't have copied Wilson's dance moves cause the first time he ever saw Wilson was at the end of '56.

@65tallboy yeah J.B. said he split them on the first split so he kept his back from the camera

@williamg2552 Actually, according to Jackie Wilson himself, Jackie copied Elvis in many ways! All three performers you mentioned were absolutely dynamite, and there is no need to discredit any of them!!! James was the best dancer and had the most energy for sure though!
Elvis copied Jackie Wilson's dance moves...but wasn't as dynamic or as smooth . Both James and Jackie could murder Elvis on stage
