Out of all honesty.

I picked up UA unknowingly it was Gerard.

Gerard has to get sick of tweenies just liking the comic because of MCR.

It's sickening.

To be honest I know I would like the comic with or without him.

So stop the OMG Gerard is hot crap. THis is about the comic.

Have some respect for him.

I DID get interested in UA because of Gerard, and because he IS the front-man in my favourite band. I'd been into comics for a while anyways.

I LOVE UA. I just found it amazing- the unconventional storytelling, the characters, the plot, everything.

But I DON'T like it JUST because he wrote it. I'd love it even if I had no idea who wrote it. I didn't even think about looks with the band when I first heard them anyway. I get where people are coming from with the annoying fangirls though :/

I like the Umbrella Academy comic books. I also enjoy the music of My Chemical Romance of which Gerard Way is the singer. This is unrelated to the band however. His skill as a visual artist and story writer have nothing to do with the band. Besides, the story is far too intricate and in depth to be seen as a similarity to the stories told in his songs. I'm kind of sick of all the twelve year old girls saying "OMG Gerard is so hot!" he is in his thirties and is married!

i discovered the umbrella academy because i am a fan of my chemical romance...

i really love the comic for what it is, not because it was gerard way who wrote it. thankyou to gerard way for writing such a great comic series and giving me inspiration for a TON of stuff to draw... :)

Imagine if Gerard had Gabriel's beard, and Gabriel had Gerard's voice... They could be their own crime fighting team of superheroes along with Mikey with Ray's fro, and Johnny Depp with Helena Bonham Carter's boobs

@XxKierstenLeannexX I totally know what you mean, but you forgot that they have some crazy fans (like me) that aren't into guys.

I seriously want to ask Gerard "Why Bandit?"... Or talk about how he gets his ideas, then nod along and say "I'm the same, I write stories."

Having said that... A lot of my stories are Frerards, so I can't mention that...

And now I have an idea for an UA fanfic!

I love MCR and i love these comic's, i'm a bit gutted Mr Way did not draw it himself as i love his artwork he is super talented, but being a great singer, lyricist, father and husband must take up a lot of time and Mr Gabriel Ba's work is amazing! I'd never heard of him before and his work is great.

I'm glad Ways comic book nerd shone through on this, after all he was an artist before My Chemical Romance and he's still a great artist. x
