If you grew up in South Florida during the fifties, sixties, or even the seventies - You most likely know of Skipper Chuck. He was the star of the longest running and most popular kids shows in Florida, and most of the USA.

  • I watched this show in the early 60's from Boynton Beach..My mom drove my two of my brothers and myself down there so we could be on in 68 or 69.One brother won the ballon drop and they picked me to do a PeeWee soda pop spot whioch I screwed up by downing the whole bottle (they were so little)and then making a face. They gave me a giant black cow sucker that lasted so long we ended up throwing it out 6 months later.

  • i still remember the address the show was at...1111 Brickel Ave

  • SCRUBBY!!

  • Chuck Stink

  • Loved watching this. I got picked to sing Happy Birthday in about 1961. Remember the audition during a break, and then Chuck led me down a hall to rehearse to a 78 RPM record. What a great guy he was!

I was on for my birthday also, sometime around '62 or '63. I remember that they made a big deal and had me sit alone on a stool for the birthday segment. I got a little boxed toy from them.

Scooby was a neighbor of mine a few streets over. He was just a normal guy that played that role.

I wish they hadn't mentioned Royal Castle. To this day I would give a paycheck to eat there just once more and I don't mean the one that was left in Miami.

  • my brother was on this show when he was a boy in the 60's and he was interviewed and asked "what do you want to be when you grow up?" My brother Joe said "A MAN!" I wish I would have already been born so I could have witnessed that! What a sweet answer.

  • I was on this show twice,.,. It was GREAT!!!!!!

  • I watched the show religiously from 6/71 through 5/76, over in Freeport, Bahamas - Channel 17????. Many of the kids in school with me made it over to Miami to be on the show. I still have a couple of PEACE, LOVE, and HAPPINESS buttons - I wear one with pride in big corporate meetings!!!!!
